Colonel David Lee Peebles, age 62, of Douglasville, GA, passed away on Tuesday, January 23, 2007 after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born November 3, 1944 in Stamford, CT son of the late Raymond Charles and Margaret Roache Peebles. Col. Peebles was a 30-year U.S. Army veteran serving in Vietnam. He was most recently a consultant with Management Analysis Inc. Dave was a member and deacon at Heritage Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife Carolyn Peebles of Douglasville, GA; daughters, Stephanie Peebles of St. Petersburg, FL, Carrie and Scott Messer of Tampa, FL, Elizabeth Solano of Tampa, FL; step-sons, Andy and Andrea Hulsey of Atlanta, GA, Alan Hulsey of Douglasville, GA, Adam Hulsey of Douglasville, GA; grandchildren, Jordan, Summer, and Nathan Solano, Abigail and Charlotte Messer; brother, Richard Peebles of Norwalk, CT and Doug Bloom.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, January 25, 2007 from 7-8:30 PM. The funeral service will be Friday, January 26, 2007 at 11:00 AM at Heritage Baptist Church with Rev. Cecil Clegg officiating. Interment will be Monday, January 29, 2007 at 10:00 AM at Georgia National Cemetery, Canton, GA.
